Halloween Celebrations Near You
Halloween in our area is more than just a date on the calendar—it’s a season that transforms our towns and villages into places of laughter, creativity, and shared excitement. As the leaves turn and the evenings draw in, communities across the coast and countryside come alive with the spirit of Halloween, offering something for every age and every kind of spook-seeker.

For the youngest among us, St Mary’s Church is set to become a haven of tiny terrors and adorable monsters. On Monday 27th October, babies and toddlers are invited to don their best costumes for a party that promises not only spooky fun but also the perfect photo opportunities against eerie backdrops. With sessions for pre-crawlers and mixed ages, every little one gets a chance to join in, and each ticket holder leaves with a special gift. Spaces are limited, so booking ahead is a must.
Meanwhile, the Clipper Club at Filey Childcare is embracing the Halloween spirit throughout the October half term. Children can dive into crafts, pumpkin carving, messy play, and even a Halloween party and games day. With flexible booking options, families can find the perfect fit for their schedules, but be warned—these spots fill up fast.

The excitement builds as the week unfolds. On Friday 24th October, The Filey Sports Association will host a Halloween party at The Clubhouse from 7pm. Fancy dress is encouraged, and there’ll be bingo for both adults and children—everyone is welcome to join in the festivities.
As Halloween approaches, Gristhorpe Village Hall will echo with laughter and music on Friday 31st October, as families gather for a free evening of spooky games, hot dogs, and competitions for the best costumes and carved pumpkins. Just let the organisers know how many are coming, and prepare for an evening that’s sure to become a cherished memory.
The celebrations continue across the area. The Belle Vue is getting into the spirit with Lindy’s Kids Halloween Party on Sunday 2nd November, where children can enjoy fancy dress, disco, karaoke, party dances, and food—all for free. Downstairs at The Belle Vue, the atmosphere will be electric with excitement and creativity.
For families looking for a lively afternoon, Fadó & Tide in Filey is hosting a Family Halloween Party on Friday 31st October from 3 to 6pm. Expect music, games, prizes, and a delicious buffet—perfect for all ages. Tickets are £10 per person and available directly from Fadó & Tide from Wednesday 17th September. Costumes are encouraged, so don’t miss out on the fun.
The Imperial (The Imps) are also holding a family fancy dress party on Friday 31st October from 7pm with prizes for the best dressed!
No Halloween would be complete without a visit to Dave Marshall’s Disco. On Monday 27th October, Dave will once again fill the dancefloor with witches, ghosts, and ghouls, leading games and fancy dress competitions that have become a local tradition. Tickets are £5, and refreshments will be available, ensuring a night of fun for all ages.
For those seeking a day out with a difference, Killerby Old Hall offers a full Halloween experience. On Friday 31st October, families can pick pumpkins from 10am, enjoy face painting from 4pm, and join the Monster Mash party from 6pm, with live music from 8pm. Fancy dress is encouraged, and those who embrace the theme get free entry—otherwise, it’s £5 at the door.
Pumpkin picking is a highlight of the season, and Muston Farm Stall makes it easy to select the perfect one straight from the field. Open every day during half term, the farm also tempts visitors with seasonal vegetables and treats from local catering favourites, the Moody Cow and the Grumpy Pig.
Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park transforms for October half term, welcoming families from 18th October to 2nd November. Skeletons lurk in every corner, and a treasure hunt adds to the fun, making this a must-visit for animal lovers and Halloween fans alike.

And for a truly magical autumn adventure, Humble Bee Farm’s Pumpkin Festival runs on selected dates from 5th to 31st October. Here, families can carve pumpkins in a barn decked out for Halloween, meet the resident Witch, and enjoy twilight sessions with marshmallow toasting and pumpkin-flavoured treats. With friendly animals to meet and play areas for the kids, it’s an experience that captures the very best of the season.

This Halloween, our local area is bursting with opportunities to make memories, share laughter, and celebrate together. Whether you’re seeking gentle fun for little ones, lively parties for older children, or a day out for the whole family, there’s something for everyone.
So dust off your costumes, gather your friends and family, and get ready to join in the magic—Halloween is waiting for you.
