Our open-top Beachcomber buses are back for the summer!

East Yorkshire Buses is delighted to announce the return of its much-loved Scarborough Beachcomber open-top buses for the 2025 summer season. Offering stunning views of the Yorkshire coastline, the Beachcomber is the perfect way to experience Scarborough’s fresh sea breeze and scenic beauty.
Running between North Bay and South Bay, service 99 will begin on Saturday, 5th April and operate every 20 minutes on weekends and during school holidays until Sunday, 13th July. From Saturday, 19th July, the service will run daily, with buses arriving every 10 minutes, ensuring visitors and locals alike can enjoy the sights with ease.

Whether you're taking a short ride or exploring for the day, there’s a ticket to suit every need. A single ticket costs £3 for adults and £1.50 for children. Day tickets are available at £4 for adults and £2.50 for children and concessions, valid for 24 hours. Group savings are also available, with tickets priced at £12 for up to 4 people, £15 for 5 people, £18 for 6 people, and £21 for 7 people.

With convenient stops along the route, Beachcomber passengers can easily access some of Scarborough’s best-loved attractions, including South Bay, where visitors can enjoy golden sands, amusements, and bustling seaside charm. Stroll through the beautiful Peasholm Park, row on the boating lake or bring a picnic and just soak up the atmosphere. Discover 3,000 years of history at Scarborough Castle, with breathtaking views over the Yorkshire coast.
