Applications Now Open! Celebrating Community Spirit – Your Chance to Make a Difference
We’re delighted to announce that applications for our Annual Birthday Grants are officially open! From January 1st to February 21st, 2026, community groups and organisations within the YO14 postcode area can apply for funding to support their projects and activities.
Why We Do This
Every year, thanks to your incredible generosity during our Christmas Message feature and the continued success of Filey Bay Today through sales and advertising, we’re able to give back to the community in a meaningful way. These grants help local groups thrive, create opportunities, and bring people together.
What We Achieved Last Year
In 2025, we awarded over £5,300 to a wide range of organisations. Here are just a few examples of how those grants made a difference:
Filey Sea Cadets received funding for First Aid Training Equipment, giving young cadets essential life-saving skills and confidence.
Hunmanby Over 60’s Group secured support for room hire, enabling members to meet regularly, reduce social isolation, and promote wellbeing.
Restore Sparks Youth Club benefited from resources and activities that keep young people engaged and inspired in a safe environment.
From sports equipment to creative workshops, and from community events to wellbeing initiatives, the diversity of projects we support reflects the strength and spirit of our local area.
